Nanjing Scandinavian Industrial Campus ground breaking ceremony for Phase 1 Nanjing Scandinavian Industrial Campus (NSIC) commenced construction of the Scandinavian industrial campus in August. The opening ceremony was held on August 29. Phase 1 includes the development of 33 000 sqm industrial land in Nanjing Jiangning Science Park with a 4 storey office building of 5200 sqm, one two storey factory for light manufacturing of 2x4000 sqm and a factory for medium heavy manufacturing of 1x8000 sqm, with a possibility to add a mezzanine floor. Phase 1 is planned to be ready during the first quarter of 2008. The total plan is to develop a land area of 140 000 sqm with office buildings, factory buildings and warehouse buildings for foreign companies. NSIC is building standard facilities for renting out but can also do built-to-suit for enterprises with specific requirements.
